Lightweight Technology Review for New Energy Commercial Vehicle CCB

The lightweight technology of the cross car beam (CCB) in automotive dashboards is a key area of innovation in automotive materials, processes, and structures. It has evolved from single material substitution to a multi-technology integrated system engineering. This paper systematic reviews and discusses eight CCB lightweight technologies involved in the new energy commercial vehicle field. Taking a CCB of a light-duty new energy commercial vehicle of the VAN type as an example, it analyzes the weight and cost of various CCB lightweight technologies, providing a reference basis for different positioning models of new energy commercial vehicle manufacturers.
