Abstract
With the rapid development of new energy commercial vehicles, the electric power steering system EPS is gradually replacing traditional hydraulic power steering systems due to its advantages of high efficiency, energy saving, and compact structure. The article analyzes the characteristics of commercial electric power steering systems, and divides EPS systems into three categories based on the different assembly positions of the power steering motors. It elaborates on their working principles and control strategies in detail. By optimizing the overall vehicle layout and algorithm design, the EPS system can achieve a balance between driving lightness and road stability.
