Abstract: The Inspection and Maintenance（I/M） program for vehicle emissions is a crucial measure for controlling motor vehicle exhaust pollution. This paper first analyzes some problems encountered during the implementation of the I/M program. Subsequently, in response to these issues, this paper proposes countermeasures such as establishing a national vehicle exhaust data-sharing platform and strengthening supervision and training. By implementing these countermeasures, the effectiveness of the I/M program can be effectively enhanced, leading to a reduction in motor vehicle exhaust emissions and an improvement in air quality.
