Abstract:
Automotive lightweighting technology adheres to the principle of “performance priority and optimal weight”, reducing the vehicle’s self-weight through material substitution, structural reconfiguration, and process innovation while ensuring the carrying capacity and safety of commercial vehicles, thereby achieving the goal of energy conservation and consumption reduction. This paper, in light of the latest research progress, systematically analyzes and summarizes various lightweighting technologies commonly used in the design and manufacturing of commercial vehicles, and conducts a deep analysis of the challenges in the application and cost of automotive lightweighting technology, and puts forward relevant suggestions, with the aim of better promoting the application effect of automotive lightweighting technology in commercial vehicles.
